This six strand, two tone fine red necklace. It is made out of Tulsi Seeds (Holy Basil) and Banyan Wood Beads.  Many People wear Tulsi Seeds in India, which is said to have certain physical and medicinal properties, Its wood is considered as more powerful than any other gem that helps in protecting one from the negative influences. In India, Bayan Wood Beads are used as prayer beads, commonly strung as a set and will consist of 108 beads. Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This practice is known in Sanskrit as Japa.
